VIDEO CONTENTS:
[0:00] Introduction
[0:54] The black tonal
2% DOS - 2 g dye / 100 g yarn
26 grams of black dye total - 13 grams of each dissolved in tap water
presoaked yarn with no acid
Removed the yarn, added 13 grams of tonerblack dye. add 1 cup vinegar
a few hours later, remove yarn, add 13 g true black, then 1 cup vinegar
After a few days - heat set immersion style 12 cups of dyebath + yarn
heat set 45 minutes
[7:00] Adding resists
2 - 100 g bundles of yarn on top of one another, 5 resist points
presoak for a couple of hours in plain tap water
[8:40] Dyeing the Black Layer
10 g each Toner Black and True black - slightly less than from the tonals earlier
[12:25] Removing the resists
[17:15] The neon fluorescent acid dyes
Jacquard - Fluorescent Red, Fluorescent Orange, Chartreuse, Blacklight blue
Dharma - Fluorescent Fuchsia, Fluorescent Safety Orange, Fluorescent Lemon, Purple Pop
1 tsp citric acid powder + 1/32 of the neon fluorescent color. Stir. (I used twice as much blacklight blue dye vs the others)
[20:11] Dyeing the negative space
tap the dye powder on the to white patches
steam set 30 minutes
[30:17] Washing hte yarn
[31:48] The dry yarn
[41:35] Conclusions
