Arrival of Leaders for the 2024 ASEAN Summits and Related Summits 10/09/2024

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., alongside fellow Leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Timor-Leste as an observer member, arrives for the opening ceremony of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits at the National Convention Center in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR) on October 9, 2024.

During the three-day Summit, ASEAN Heads of State/Government will convene in 16 leaders-led engagements from 9 to 11 October and are expected to adopt 82 outcome documents during the back-to-back Summits.

This is the third time Laos is hosting the ASEAN Summit under this year’s theme, ‘ASEAN: Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience,’ with the landlocked country leading the efforts to transform ASEAN into a more connected and resilient community.
