This quiet Prayer is to help calm the mind, by repeating loving & encouraging words. Sometimes it's just an uplift in our thinking that is needed. I have found that prayer and empowering words have helped change my perspective almost instantly. The more we intentionally develop a calm mind, the easier it is to feel calm & relaxed in all areas of life. Just like any quality or character trait, a calm peaceful mind is developed by practice. Inner peace is a level of self awareness that anyone can establish as a dominate inner state. Our world seems more peaceful because we become more peaceful in our mind, body, soul. We begin to view the subtle levels of our experience more easily. We begin to see the spiritual unity, the Divinity and the beauty of creation. We begin to feel the connectedness of life at a profound depth.

The physical world may change, but the internal-most Self is perfectly still, unchanging and unmoved. All inspiration springs forth from this still center, it's a fixed Divine Light... the Nameless Presence, the Original Word/Sound of creation, the Eternal I AM that is One, whole and complete within itself containing the pattern of creation- all archetypes of the soul. I would describe this Still center of Light as Pure Love, Pure Power and Power Intelligence/Wisdom. Rather than swinging from thinking we know everything to thinking we know nothing, we can reach a balance state that contains both. Choosing to think, speak and act from a state of Pure Love helps in transforming the soul and helps in changing our attitude towards life. Even how we think, speak and act towards circumstances and objects can be used for good. Every movement or activity is taking place in us, and we can intentionally choose to react differently.

These inner subtle movements can be consciously directed in a constructive way to bring more peace, vitality and freedom into our experience. Sincere intention is an important part in cleansing our hearts/souls, these means self-observation, like asking ourselves where we are acting from. Every act of forgiveness (consciously choosing to think, speak and act from Pure Love) is an act of reconciliation. Forgiveness and reconciliation by consciously choosing the loving thought, word or action reconnects us to our Spiritual Unity and our Universal awareness, that One Still Light that is perfectly centered. Which means a more conscious connection to all individualities, all people, all things.

Prayer, meditation & self-observation/reflection have helped in changing my perspective in so many ways. Having the ability to be Still and choose Love no matter what is going on in the world around us is a priceless powerful quality that anyone can develop. Power is nothing without Love. Power is like an impulse of energy and Love is what connects, builds, frees, sustains and transforms. We can think, imagine, desire, though without Love and realization of our spiritual unity (our inner connection) all we think, imagine and desire are like shifting shadows. Substance and Life is in our ability to Love. The Whole Law of Life is Love. Freedom comes by fulfilling this Law (Love as the Truth/Supreme Good) Power acts through the Law of Life by means of Love. Power can be misdirected unintentionally and Power can be redirected intentionally. We can rise from within by intentionally directing the Power in us by our ability to Love.

Love is what transmutes one state into another, turns a problem into a blessing, a defect in our character into a Divine quality. We developed a conditioned state by withholding Love or misdirecting that energy. We free ourselves from those same conditioned states by choosing unconditional Love and by giving Love. A way to choose Love is by calming the mind and doing our best moment to moment by intentionally choosing to think differently about ourselves, others, the world and circumstances.

Whatever you have gone through, there is always some good that can develop from it... like qualities such as persistence, kindness, humility, compassion. Learning to Love impersonally can be scary only because we have to get beyond the conditioning/opinions of who/what we once thought was worthy or unworthy of Love. Each moment we have a choice to direct our power/love positively or negatively. So in calming the mind we calm passions/reactions and allow Love & compassion to flow forth from us. Calming the mind can also help us to lighten up a bit, allow ourselves to laugh and be more joyful. When we are in a loving inner state, we are relaxed, at peace with the world, uplifted, free and thankful. Calming the mind allows us to enter into that Still Center within, where the inner "Palace of Love" is and because that power of Love in us is magnetic, it is how we draw good to us.
