Vostok Europe (VE) Energia 2 - New Designs

Craig Hester here with R2AWatches. Today we are taking a deep dive into the new Energia watches from Vostok Europe. We consider the Energia to be one of our flagship models that encapsulate what it means to be from Vostok Europe, and these new Energias are no exception.

The Energia is one of the bigger, bolder watches from VE, measuring in at 48 mm, and 17 mm thick. If you like big and aggressive watches, with aggressive and vibrant colors that people will notice, these are for you.

All new Energias contain the NH34 automatic GMT movement from Seiko. This is the first time VE has done a GMT movement, which gives the watches a secondary time zone, in the Energia model.

Also important to note is that the Energias are professional grade dive watches with 30 ATM and a helium release valve. It's also important to point out that they have stand-up tritium tubes, which are always illuminated and don't have to be charged by the sun. Their v-shape around the chapter ring of the dial make them brighter than regularly positioned tritium tubes.

These watches are incredibly durable, and utilize the K1 "gorilla glass" system, meaning they have nearly the scratch resistance of sapphire and nearly the shatter resistance of mineral.
