Vostok Europe (VE) Systema Periodicum

Craig Hester here with R2Awatches. Today we are talking about the Systema Periodicum. That's latin for the Periodic Table of the Elements, and every one of the watches we'll be talking about today is named after and inspired by an element on the periodic table. From the brilliant yellow watch based on sulphur, to the rose tone and black based on boron, these color combinations are fantastic.

In addition to the stunning color combinations, it is important to note that this is the first time VE did a bullhead chronograph, meaning the main crown is at the top of the watch. This is a fairly big watch measuring in at 45 mm, and the bullhead makes it seem a bit bigger but adds so much style and individuality to these watches.

All the Systema Periodicums utilize the VK67 Seiko mecha-quartz chronograph movement, and incorporate the K-1 mineral system, otherwise known as "gorilla glass" which gives it nearly the scratch resistance of sapphire and nearly the shatter resistance of mineral.
