Streets of Rage (1993) | Wranker 4K Master System Real Hardware Playthrough | Retrotink 4K

Описание к видео Streets of Rage (1993) | Wranker 4K Master System Real Hardware Playthrough | Retrotink 4K

Full playthrough of Streets of Rage, released in 1993 for the Sega Master System. Unlike how Sega ported Sonic to their 8-Bit machines, totally reimagining the game, Streets of Rage is a very faithful port of the original Megadrive game released two years prior. Trying to transfer a game that was already very impressive, to far less powerful hardware is usually a disaster, that is not the case here. Streets of Rage for the Master System is pretty much a beat for beat port, using much of the music, assets and level structure. The only real noticeable differences is a lack of a 2 player mode, and a different boss at stage 6. Obviously everything including the gameplay is very much downgraded, but that doesn't stop this from being a excellent game in it's own right and would have been a gem for those that didn't have Sega's 16-bit hardware at the time.

As far as I can tell looking on the net, this was only ever released in PAL territories with no US release. I can't verify this as I I'm English and can only confirm I remember playing it as a kid. If you are American, let me know in the comments if you got this in the states, as I find it hard to believe you guys never got this great game.

******* Notes on this Video *******
This playthrough was captured on a VA1, Asian, Model 1 Megadrive fitted with a Master Base Converter. I have modded the console with a custom RGB Triple Bypass to remove noise and the dreaded jailbars. This is arguably the best picture output possible from any Megadrive/Genesis. The VA1's are hard to find, so if you are a creator, and need any footage for a video, contact me, and I'll sort it out for you.

The gameplay was integer scaled and correctly clocked with the RetroTink 4K, recorded in 4K using the M.2 Avermedia 4K Live Gamer capture card, both great bits of equipment, highly recommended for retro game enthusiasts.

I upload these playthroughs, mainly for real hardware footage preservation, which is why I use no watermarks or overlays and record the footage in integer scaled 4:3. Feel free to use it as you wish, all I ask, is you don't just reupload it in full. Credit to my main channel would be greatly appreciated, but not required. Youtube, obviously bit-crushes video and audio while compressing, so if you want the raw footage of this video, contact me.
