You can think of a good landings as a good parachute. Not only it makes the fall softer but it actually enables it. No one would jump off of a plane without a parachute. In the same way, your body will not allow you to go the distance of exploring either quick dynamic stepping or acrobatics without working on your landings.

Usually the landing technique is focused on two feet absorption (what I presented in the first tutorial). We tend to overlook one-legged landings and landings from circular motions. This could hinder your progress because most complex movement scenarios and moves need exactly this type of force absorption. 

Creating your own parachute will allow you to take your calculated risks and develop your skills in an effective and non-harmful way.
