Ingredients

I) For veg momos stuffing:

1 tbsp Oil
2 tsp Garlic finely chopped
1 tsp Ginger finely chopped
½ cup Cabbage finely chopped
½ cup Onion finely chopped
½ cup Capsicum or Green bell pepper finely chopped
½ cup Carrot finely chopped
½ tsp Salt or more to taste
½ tsp Black pepper powder
¼ cup Spring onion finely chopped


II) For outer cover:

1 cup All purpose flour (Maida)
1 tsp oil (any vegetable or olive oil)
¼ tsp Salt to taste
4-6 tbsp Water

Instructions

I) Making stuffing:

Step 1: Heat the oil on medium heat and fry ginger, garlic for few seconds.
Step 2: Add chopped vegetables, fry for 3-4 minutes, stir continuously.
Step 3: Add salt and pepper, stir & fry for 2 more minutes.
Step 4: Mix soy sauce and spring onion and turn off the stove. Let the stuffing cool down.

II) Covering, Shaping and cooking Veg momos:

Step 1: Take a bowl, mix all purpose flour and salt, add little water at a time & knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
Step 2: Divide the dough into equal parts and make smooth balls.
Step 3: Roll the ball into about 3-4 inch diameter circle. Try to make the edge to be thin & the centre to be thick.
Step 4: Place a tbsp of stuffing in the center and shape the momos as shown. (Keep them covered with a moist napkin)
step 5: Add 1 cup of water in a pan and bring it to a simmer on medium heat.
Step 6: arrange the momos on the baking tray & preheat the oven at 180 deg. C.
Step 7: Bake them for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 8: Serve hot with sweet chili tomato sauce & enjoy!

NOTE:
1. During rolling, make sure to roll from sides and keep the center slightly thick.
2. To prevent the dough from drying, cover them with a wet cloth or a plate.
