Folly Bridge by road to Donnington Bridge, Oxford, July 8th 2024

In    • St. Giles by road to Donnington Bridg...   , I walk from Folly Bridge (and some way before) to Donnington Bridge by road, then back by Iffley Road and Cowley Road. I decide to do the same today, and see what has changed since. But in fact, I alter my route and before getting to the part of Donnington Bridge that crosses the main branch of the Thames, I walk from Weirs Lane along a path — shown on the second map below — that goes across Weirs Mill Stream and enters Iffley Meadows. When dry, there are pleasant walks in the meadows. Today, though, I loop back to Donnington Bridge Road, then end the walk because of rain.
