Cal Quantrill Boosting Market Value! - MLB The Show 24 Colorado Rockies Rebuild (Y2|G82) - Ep. 20

Helllooo everybody and come along for the ride as I take on the task of rebuilding the Colorado Rockies here on MLB The Show 24.

In this episode, we head to Target Field for a matchup with the Minnesota Twins. Cal Quantrill takes the mound in this rubber match as the rumors around the league indicate Quantrill is one of the top pitchers on the market. Following an abysmal start to the season, Quantrill has put together a dominant stretch allowing just one earned run over his last 20 innings pitched. With about a month until the Trade Deadline, the Rockies hope he can continue this high-level play as they look to maximize his market value.

On offense, Nolan Jones stole the show with a multi-homerun game as he got things started early with a solo shot in the first inning. Anthony Santander also went deep as Colorado proved to be pesky at the plate against Jordan Balazovic who entered the game with a 1-10 record. The bullpen was called on quite early as they provided much-needed stability. However, already down a handful of runs, would the Twins offense be able to scrap their way back in it and overcome another strong outing from Cal Quantrill?

In the next episode, we'll embark on the 2025 MLB Draft. We'll start the episode by reviewing our draft board, analyzing some of the top prospects, and outlining our draft strategy. After addressing pitching last year, we focused our scouting resources mainly on the infield as we have a plethora of options at 2nd base and shortstop throughout the draft board.

Holding the #7 overall pick, Colorado holds their hopes for Alex Parra, the top 3rd baseman in the draft. However, Parra projects as the #2 pick so for him to slide to the Rockies is highly unlikely--although we can certainly dream.
