Everyone is getting ready to prepare the pastries, only to find the machine has broken down. Daxi and Shuangxi are worried that they cannot deliver their orders in time. Wending suggests that these orders can be made manually and mentions that there are two big wooden pounders in "Xiji" in the past. After a tedious search, Daxi finds the pounders. The three of them work through the night and finally manage to deliver the orders on time.
文鼎等人准备做米闰，却发现机器坏了。大喜和双喜担心无法如期交货，文鼎冷静表示可以用人手代替机器，提到当年喜记有两个大木槌。在一番搜寻后，大喜果然找到木槌。三人连夜赶工，米闰终于成功完成，如期交货。
