Pro #1 - Your money goes further in Midlothian compared to Short Pump, roughly about 15% further in fact.

Pro #2 - Midlothian is very amenity rich and has tons of commercial development. There are two bubbles for the Midlothian area. Midlothian Turnpike and Hull Street.

Pro #3 - The school systems are top notch.

Pro #4 - Really appealing new construction options.

Pro #5 - Awesome dining and date night spots. Lots of great restaurants are located in Midlothian.

Pro #6 - Tons of entertainment, both paid and free. Lots of great gyms, parks, and more!

Con #1 - Some highways you will have to take require a toll.

Con #2 - Highway 288 can get bogged down with traffic during rush hour and this is the one of main highways for Midlothian.

Con #3 - Chesterfield County has the 2nd highest real estate taxes of all of the Richmond Suburbs.

Con #4 - Not every area of Midlothian has easy access to highway systems. You may have to travel far just to reach the highway.

Con #5 - Otterdale Road is a single lane, twisty, country road that some new construction communities are located off of. This can be difficult to navigate during the winter or periods of heavy traffic.
