Pro 1 - Short Pump VA is the most amenity rich area of Richmond Virginia. It has the most commercial development. TONS of grocery stores, shopping, dining, and entertainment. There are so many options for anything and everything you could ever need located along W. Broad St.

Pro 2 - Some of the best restaurants are located in Short Pump VA, and some restaurants that are based in the city are starting to open second locations in Short Pump.

Pro 3 - The west end of Henrico County (ie Short Pump) has top rated school systems.

Pro 4 - There are lots of beautiful older neighborhoods full of homes with lots of curb appeal. Tree lined streets with side walks. Short Pump has some of the best neighborhoods.

Pro 5 - The convenience factor of living in Short Pump is huge. Everything is only 5 minutes away and the highway systems are easy to get to.

Pro 6 - The entertainment options are top notch. Drive Shack, Dave & Busters, restaurants, Deep Run Park, Hardywood West Creek, and more! There is always something to do in Short Pump VA.

Con 1 - Traffic along W. Broad St. can be difficult for the first couple stop lights from the 64 exit. The Short Pump exit of highway 64 is too small for the amount of traffic it receives now.

Con 2 - The schools are super competitive.

Con 3 - This is a very expensive area to live in. Home command a premium here because of all the nearby ameninites and all the pros listed above.

Con 4 - The new construction options in Short Pump Virginia are lacking. It comes with a compromise of either 1) yard 2) view or 3) price.

Con 5 - Some neighborhoods have very strict HOAs.
