Most autistic adults today in the U.S. are either unemployed or underemployed. Companies often don’t know though those autistic adults are often more likely to stay at a job longer, have less absentee rates and have reasonable accommodations in place that have a $0 onboarding fee. With that meet Dr. Kerry Magro Ed.D, an award winning autistic professional speaker who has firsthand experience of what it’s like to be unemployed with a disability. Nonverbal till 2.5 and diagnosed with autism at 4, Magro now travels the country speaking through the National Speakers Association about his own personal experiences having a learning disability while providing resources for our communities. Today Magro has been featured in major media and worked with amazing brands including CBS News, PBS, BBC News, NBA.com, Huffington Post and much more. Magro has discussed disability employment with Google, BlackRock, PNC Bank, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Lowes, Citrix, PSE&G and UKG among others.
