ABC Soup with Steam Pork on Rice | Itaki Chefbox Smart Bento Pro Electric Lunch Box Recipe

ABC soup is one of the simplest Chinese soup. Some say it's called ABC soup because it is as easy to make as ABC. Others say it is due to the soup containing vitamins a, b & c. Whichever it is, I only know it is tasty and goes well with rice. This soup is clean, clear and tasty without any msg. The soup brings out the natural flavor of the ingredients and is comforting and nourishing. There are versions that added corn to make the soup sweeter. You can add it if you like.

The itaki Chefbox has a Soup function where it cooks at lower heat but take a longer time. This is to enhance the soup flavor with a slow boil. When cooking with the Soup setting, you can hear that the itaki cooking sound is softer than on other settings. I have paired this with a steamed pork patty for some protein. Ingredient:
Large tray:
1/2 (100g) - medium potato
50g - carrot
1 (85g)- small tomato
1/4 tsp - salt
1 cup - water

Small tray 1:
1/3 cup - rice
1/3 cup - water

Small tray 2:
80g - ground pork
15g - water chestnut
1 tsp - soy sauce
1/8 tsp - ground ginger
To taste - white pepper
1 - egg

1 cup - water (itaki)
