E133 - The Remote Wilderness Of The Gordon River

Описание к видео E133 - The Remote Wilderness Of The Gordon River

We explore the historic old railway carriage at the abandoned West Pillinger township, now converted into camping accommodation. Heading south we stop at the former convict settlement on Sarah Island and learn more on its horrific past. We then head into the very remote and wild Gordon River stopping at Warner's Landing, visiting St Josephs falls and the Lea Tree, a Huon Pine estimated between 2,000 & 4,000 years old burnt by the hydroelectric workers in defiance to the green protestors. We then tender up the Franklin River finding a hidden cave.

WHO ARE WE?
We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022.
We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change.
We are just an ordinary Aussie couple exploring what this great world has to offer and hope that we can inspire others just as we were by watching other YouTube channels to follow our dreams.
