00:00 - INTRO* Today let’s explore more of Oregon & see what the famous Ecola State Park and the Indian Beach are all about. So join me only on the ETA.

01:06 – Welcome to the Ecola State Park. There is a small fee associated with this park but it is well worth it since it supports the maintenance of the park. You can buy a 1-day permit on site for $5 or purchase an annual permit for $30.

01:22 - Did you know that with this billion dollar view, a handful of movies and series where filmed right in this Park? “The Goonies” and the “Kindergarten Cop” were filmed within this Park as well as several scenes of the “Twilight” and the “Point Break.”

01:47 - Ecola State Park is located right between the Cannon Beach and the Seaside. It is 3 miles North of the Cannon Beach and 10 miles South of Seaside. Ecola State Park wraps around the Tillamook Head. This beautiful park stretches along the Oregon coastline for 9 miles and offers some of the most breathtaking views.

02:56 - Did you know that this is a historically significant area? William Clark as part of the Lewis and Clark expedition to the Americas traveled through this area in 1806! The park itself however, was created in 1930s on top of an active landslide.

03:41 - All the way at the “Chapman Point” you will see this breathtaking scenery. The view from this cliff is something for everyone to experience!! It’s definitely spectacular and puts the all mighty and powerful Mother Nature in perspective. Besides this viewpoint in the area you will also find a multitude of trails, hikes, and picnic areas. Did you know that the “Chapman Point” separates the Chapman Beach from the Crescent Beach? On a clear day to the West, you will be able to see the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse.

07:35 - Arriving to the Indian Beach nearby, the views here are just as incredible. In fact, we were able to spot a couple getting married right on the beach down there to the left. What a good choice that will be memorable for the rest of their lives.

08:28 – By the way, Indian Beach is a specific part of the Ecola State Park and just SW of the main area that we just visited with the “Chapman Point” lookout.

09:19 - PREVIEW* Next, let’s head to nothing less than a Seaside part of Oregon itself!! I can assure you that you will fall in love with this beautiful little city so stay tuned ONLY on the ETA!!
