Texas scored the first seven points of the game and picked up a 77-72 victory over Texas Tech on Wednesday at Moody Center.

Amina Muhammad recorded her second double-double of the season with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Muhammad grabbed 10 offensive rebounds.

Taylor Jones led Texas with 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field. Madison Booker scored in double-figures for the 17th straight game with 14 points. Booker made 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. DeYona Gaston scored 12 points in the second half for Texas.

The Longhorns (25-3, 12-3) used an 11-0 run to end the half and take a 35-31 lead into halftime.

Trailing 50-49 in the closing seconds of the third quarter, Shay Holle hit a 3-point shot with five seconds in the period to give Texas a 52-50 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Texas scored seven of the first nine points of the fourth quarter. The Longhorns connected on 12-of-13 from the free-throw line in the final quarter to seal the game.

Up next the Longhorns will travel to Addition Financial Arena in Orlando facing off against

UCF on Saturday, Feb. 24. Tip-off is set for 11:00 a.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

• With the victory Texas improves to 25-3 overall and 12-3 in Big 12 play.

• The Longhorns have won seven straight games.

• Texas outrebounded Texas Tech 42-30 and grabbed 15 offensive rebounds. The Longhorns are now 23-2 on the season when they outrebound their opponent.

• Texas made 18 more free-throws than Texas Tech in the game.

• The 15 rebounds for Amina Muhammad was a career-high.

• Four players scored in double-figures for the Longhorns.
