세계 오랑우탄의 날 International Orangutan day

8월 19일은 세계 오랑우탄의 날 입니다. 오랑우탄은 멸종 위기 등급 위급으로, 심각한 멸종 위기 종 입니다. 점점 사라져가는 오랑우탄을 보호하기 위해 8월 19일을 국제 오랑우탄의 날로 지정하였습니다. 오랑우탄이 사라지는 원인은 팜유 생산을 위한 삼림 벌채, 애완용으로 삼기 위한 밀렵 등이 있습니다. 오랑우탄의 날을 기념하여 우리나라 동물원에 있는 오랑우탄을 영상에 담아봤습니다. 영상에 나오지 않는 에버랜드 폴리♂ 까지 합하면 우리나라에서 볼 수 있는 모든 오랑우탄들을 만났습니다. 이들이 지금보다 조금이라도 더 나은 환경에서 살 수 있었으면 좋겠습니다. 세상 모든 오랑우탄이 고통받지 않고 행복하기를 기원합니다.
August 19 is World Orangutan Day. Orangutans are a CITES-class emergency and are critically endangered species. To protect the disappearing orangutans, August 19 was designated as International Orangutan Day. Orangutans disappear due to deforestation for palm oil production and poaching for pets. To celebrate Orangutan Day, we captured a video of orangutans in Korea's zoos. Including the orangutan Poly♂, which is not shown in the video, we have met all the orangutans that can be found in Korea. I hope they can live in a slightly better environment than they are now. I wish all the orangutans in the world will be happy without suffering.
