Asana: Tree Pose - Vrksasana
Brief alignment: Stand at the top of your mat with your feet touching. Press through all the corners of the left foot, and lift the right knee up to the chest. Place the right sole into the left inner thigh and roll the right hip out. Drop the right hip down and keep on pressing the foot into the thigh to even the hips out. Straighten both knees and bring your hands into a prayer at the center of your heart.
Benefits: Strengthens the legs, opens the hips, brings balance and stability, helps you center in and anchor down
Contraindications: vertigo, hip & knee injury
