This Yin Yoga practice helps to relax your pelvic floor beginning with the sphinx pose to gently stretch the connective tissues on the front side of the spine. This is followed with the half saddle pose that asymmetrically stretches the pelvic floor. These Yin Yoga practices can help to reduce pelvic pain.

There are multiple versions demonstrated for each position. You should choose the version that allows you to fully relax into your body's own tension, without moving into pain. Practice mindfully ensuring that you avoid any movements that induce pain.

This is a useful practice if you suffer from a tight pelvic floor or have conditions such as vaginismus, chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS), levator ani syndrome (LAS), prostatitis or some other condition with pelvic floor hypertonicity.
