I DID IT! 😭 30 days of learning Spanish + a lil Japanese consistently

Описание к видео I DID IT! 😭 30 days of learning Spanish + a lil Japanese consistently

There’s a lot of “get fluent in 30 days” and “how I learnt X language in 30 days” videos on YouTube, but after the initial high of learning a new language, reality sets in, and then a bigger question remains: how do you stay motivated / disciplined enough to return to studying your target language day in and day out?

This was the exact problem that I was struggling with (and to be honest, still struggle with today). After ~2 years (1 year 9 months to be exact) of studying Spanish, I’m in the thick of the intermediate plateau, which is really hard to break through. With my Japanese, I find it hard to stay motivated when I can barely hold a proper conversation, which is my favourite part of learning a language.

That’s why I set this challenge for myself: to find a new rhythm with studying, to show myself what I am capable of, and to fall back in love with learning and with languages.

As you guys will see, the process was a little bit more emotional than I thought it’d be (lol). And no, I didn’t form the habit to study everyday at a fixed time (although that may have been ideal). There are many paths to the same destination, and this video shows you a glimpse of mine :)

Finally, to all of you who’re struggling to be consistent with anything, language learning or otherwise, just take things one step and one day at a time. You can do anything you set your mind to :) you got this! 💪🏻
