This is one of my favorite songs from Lionel Richie. The bassline seems not that difficult, but there are some very interesting things happening! Especially the cooperations between bassdrum and bass is very interesting! At first I thought that the bass was playing the last sixteenth note on the second and fourth beat. But that isn’t the case! The bassdrums plays those notes towards the first and third beat and the bass ‘just’ puts the notes exactly on the first and third beat. In this way the bassdrums helps the bassplayer can he/she can concentrate on playing the notes on the first and third beat.

And ofcourse there’s this fast lick in bar 21 which – I think – every bassplayer would recognize!

I've made a little mistake in the transcription in bar 55. The last note must be a sixteenth note. When you order a transcription I've ofcourse corrected this!
