Shaw's Flat: Forgotten Mining Camp of the 1850s & Its Dead

Jeff takes this episode of History Hunters to the long gone 49er's mining camp of Shaw's Flat near Sonora in Tuolumne County, California. A vast number of miners lived here in the 1850s during the Gold Rush period. Nearby is the historic graveyard with markers back to that exciting time in California history. Some of the folks buried there were victims of mining accidents.
