Hoje analisamos as mutações , desde as mutações de poucos nucleotideos , que interferem com o quadro de leitura da informação genética , até a duplicação ou deleção de varios genes ao mesmo tempo. Tambem foi estudado varios aspectos de uma mutação no nosso genoma.

Promoter and enhancer regions (yellow) regulate the transcription of the gene into a pre-mRNA which is modified to add a 5' cap and poly-A tail (grey) and remove introns.
