String Quartet No. 5 in Bb major Movement 3 by Benjamin McLean

Описание к видео String Quartet No. 5 in Bb major Movement 3 by Benjamin McLean

Hi, here is the final movement of my 5th string quartet.

Here are the movements:
1. Allegro con moto (Bb major)
2. Andantino (A major)
3. Allegro vivace (A major)

This is my first string quartet that does not have a 4-movement structure - it has 3 movements (groundbreaking, I know). This movement is a fairly classic sonata form, mostly in A major. This piece has a somewhat longer development section than I have written in my quartets so far, which I like.

Let me know what you think in the comments. Any suggestions on more music I should write are welcome :)

I'd be thrilled if a quartet group somewhere would perform one of my pieces sometime. Sorry if people don't like staccatissimo. Also sorry if you don't like double stops - any string players out there who think any section of this quartet poses very inconvenient problems for the violinist, violist, or cellist? Please let me know :)

I'm aware I have some unfinished pieces that I've posted parts of already. On my list to finish is the 'Invisible Cities' suite for solo piano, so that will appear one day.

Please comment if you would like the sheet music for this piece (free), or you can DM me on instagram if you prefer:   / benjaminpiano3110

Also sheet music for my other pieces are on IMSLP:

(sheet music for this piece will by on IMSLP very shortly)

FYI I am on Spotify, currently have 2 albums of improvised piano works (link in bio)
