Finally, after all the comments about full-length vlogs, here I am with full-on, full-length vlogs from my recent visit to Varkala! It wasn't a properly planned trip well in advance, but I had been planning to travel for a week before my KGL trek in July/August. I reached out to Aparna, who owns @houseofsurfbytripright, and she was very kind to help me with the best itinerary for a week. Then, I booked my flight from HYD to TVM for the 14th. The 13th was election day, and I had fun taking my car out and driving solo to the voting booth while enjoying my favorite cup of coffee from the "OLD Madras Baking Company." I met my aunt while heading back and sat to edit and upload all the shorts I captured for you all to see. I was so proud of myself for being so organized and consistent like never before.

Finally, the day came. I packed at the last minute as always, but I was right on time at the airport. Thanks to my friend Girish for always being the best chauffeur – that's what he calls himself, "I'll be your chauffeur, haha." So, I am at the airport, and like always, I was so early before the boarding time. Then came the announcement: my flight had been delayed, not by an hour, but by 3 hours. Ah, Air India Express, what happened to you? Why do you need the bashing from customers? Why do the front-end workers have to take the cuss words from customers? I am not going to book Air India Express again, sorry.

But guess what? I met an amazing gang who are studying at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and they were heading back from their holidays. Ah, my 3 hours would have been a nightmare if I hadn't met them. Thanks again, guys. My heart was skipping a beat when the flight was about to take off! Gosh, I was so scared, but thank you, pilots, for the safe flight, haha. I got into the cab by paying quite a bit and reached House of Surf safely.

Adding to all the delays, I had a severe sprain in my back and couldn't move my hand, neck, or head. I have never had such a bad sprain before. Wait, plus a mouth ulcer! But you know, these things didn't bother me much. I handled all the situations pretty well. I was so looking forward to the rest of the days in Varkala.
