Pathrode is a seasonal dish of South Karnataka and Kasaragod district of Kerala State. There are few methods of preparing pathrode. We have already uploaded one and here is the second method. This is a pathrode tava fry. There is no requirement of banana leaves. fried spices are ground with rice. The ground paste is applied over the colocasia leaves, layer by layer and rolled, then steam cooked. After steam cooking, pathrodes are made slice and roasted on the hot tava by adding coconut oil. It tastes so good as we get a crispiness of roasting it.

ingredients-

Raw rice- 1 seru
colocasia leaves
red chillies- 10-15
dhania seeds- 4 tsp
methi seeds- 1 tsp
urad dal- 2 tsp
curry leaves
grated coconut- a fistful
oil for roasting
salt, jaggery, tamarind for taste
turmeric powder
