The Return of the Empress CPR 2816 - CPKC FINAL SPIKE TOUR - Bensenville to Davenport - May 9 2024

Hello railfans and welcome back! Today's video is the chase of the Empress, the CPR Hudson engine number 2816, on the CPKC Final Spike Tour!

This special train runs this year to celebrate the merger of the Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern companies. It starts in Calgary AB Canada, and ends in Mexico City, and travels through the Midwest USA to get there. My friend‪@MidnightRailfan‬and other railfans met up with the train in Bensenville Illinois as it left the CP Yard there, and chased it 170 miles to Davenport Iowa. Even though it rained, it was a great chase, with amazing whistle sound and fast speeds! I invite you to sit back, relax, and enjoy!
