Monthly Battle Rally #3 Fairy Upgrade (9,350 Points) - Pokémon Masters EX

The Poma gods listened and gave me the literal perfect boost after having to spend a pity on the Fairy banner last month. Fairy is a very diverse type both in Support and Damage, but it didn't used to be that way. You show the modern Fairy line-up to a 2020 player and they would DROOL.

I was already going to give Bede his Field EX Role for his Terrakion solo so here it is now, sorry 1/5 SS Ethan. This seed only has one result (with TWO Field + Tech areas) so yeah, good call for this regardless.

Drasna bombing on-type because that's what she does best (and like her entire kit focus). Lisia's a double boost filler.

2:42 Field + Sprint
Back-to-back Dragon-weak? Whatever. This seed has a lot of Field stages so conserving those is a priority. Disposing of Riley with a great partner with him. If I was smarter I would've Max Moved to give SS May Sun to end this faster.

4:51 Field + Support
Confronting yourself. Bede has one of the easier NC fights thankfully, we'll see how that translates to his stadium in the future though. This was a perfect use of Event Victor since he's the weakest Fielder but is also Super Effective here. To whoever ships Victor and Bede have a nice Pride Month.

7:07 Tech + Strike
We're getting all the team-up voicelines today. Next area has 3 boosts for me so I expended Rose and Lillie. Abysmal gauge but Rose deletes the stage anyway.

8:37 Field + Tech 2
Not the worst but not the best stage to get for this. Everyone here is dropping Olivia's Special Attack to the floor but Viola still has to tank her weakness as Bede is needed for another stage after and May is the nuker. Bede gets to make use of his Psychic-Terrain mode here, he usually wants Smite but not this time (Viola confuses for him).

11:55 Field + Sprint 2
Bede's final stop, but we get to make use of his Sun mode to aid Mid Blue. Yeah I have Mix Blue, I pulled on Mix during the High Score event and got 2 of him, then I got the last copy around a week ago. He's fun but Red's better. Cynthia is here as a Sprint Countdown Support, can afford her Sync given we have 2 Max Flare uses which Blue kind of struggles with (seriously DeNA these 2-1 Field WTZ users are kind of cringe!)

This stage is from the best singer event, quite tough. Initially tried with just Aura Cynthia but 50% Paralysis on a hard hitting stage like this isn't cutting it. Expending Chase as he's currently uninvested* is probably getting 2/5 for Uxie later this month. The accuracy drop and general strength of the stage are hard to deal with. It doesn't get easier from here. Could've used SS Gladion in retrospect, it is what it is.

Anabel's fight from the Summer 2023 event AGAIN. I loathe this stage. Abusing flinch spam to get through this, even still everyone took a hefty amount of damage for what it's worth. I don't want to see that acursed Weavile again for a long time. Awful.

19:41 Field + Support 2
A third 2nd half 2023 battle challenge stage has entered the run. The Kanto NC event stage, another really bad stage to get with it's Tough Skin 5 no-offtyping gimmick. Since it's Area 9 SST Red is getting deployed. Kept Geeta just in the chance it's Lucy which she can handle, made this fight worse though. Since Blue was damaged reseting for this was more annoying than it should be (Area 9 has very high stats if you didn't know, it scales more harshly after area 4 before restting to base 100% at Area 10).

22:40 Field + Strike
Argenta, I was not expecting that. I don't have many weather setters for this combination beyond BP Candice (bad), Mix Blue (used) and Maxie who requires Sync to set Sun a 2nd time which would mean no rebuff from NC Blue's Sync which is the only way I beat this. Then I remembered Lodge Volo existed and realised this was semi-feasible. He isn't just a Sandstorm gimmick either as he also boosted SST Red's Cakewalk Sync which normally requires Dropping Haymaker or Max Conductivity on the grid for, Bulldoze helped with that greatly. Blue and Red were kinda drained from the last fight so it was quite tight, not to mention Lodge Volo isn't very bulky so he needed that early +6 defence to live. This took like an hour to get a winning run for, Argenta's instant Rain on the 50% health endure is so nasty.
