Today, we want to talk about a very important topic: The narcissist who has been part of your life has made a terrible decision, a truly significant mistake.
By choosing to pursue a new supply, discarding you, or behaving in such a toxic manner that you felt compelled to cut ties, they have not only lost you but have also made a grave error. They may think they have moved on, but deep down, they are beginning to realize that trading you for someone else was a bad choice. This realization is dawning on them now.
It’s crucial not to fall into the illusion that the narcissist tries to create. They might portray their new life as something better, convincing you that they are living their best life without you. But remember, you know who you are. Are you aware of your own qualities? If you are being honest with yourself, you will recognize that you are loyal, loving, kind, generous, and empathetic. These qualities are rare in today’s world, and they make you a true blessing to be around.
I understand that you might not feel this way right now, especially after the way you have been treated by the narcissist in your life. The negative experiences can cloud your perception, making it hard to see the beauty within yourself. Some of you may be starting to recognize your worth again, but after enduring narcissistic abuse, it’s easy to forget how valuable you truly are. You are the blessing in this situation, and deep down, the narcissist knows that too. They want to keep you from realizing your true worth.
One of the main agendas of the narcissist is to undermine your self-esteem. They do not want you to know just how special you are. To distract you from this truth, they may glorify their new supply, making it seem like they have found something better. They might even flaunt their new relationship, parading in front of you or posting about it on social media, all in an attempt to provoke jealousy.
It’s important for us to stop looking at their social media. I understand the temptation; you might be searching for answers or trying to make sense of what happened. However, the truth is that you will not find the answers you seek from them or their online presence. Social media is a curated projection of their life, and they can show whatever they want, often hiding the reality behind their facade.
It can be very painful to see how a narcissist presents their life on social media. This experience can genuinely hurt your feelings, and it often does more harm than good. Unless you are able to look at their posts with discernment, it is best to avoid their social media altogether. If you can observe their online presence with a critical eye, you might recognize that their new supply is actually a downgrade compared to what you offered. You might even see that they are trying to provoke feelings of jealousy in you. The truth is, their entire social media strategy is often designed to make you feel inferior or envious.
