Peru Trip – Days 4 & 5 Summary:

On day four, we took a break to rest and prepare for the upcoming five-day Salkantay Trek, storing our larger luggage at a hotel near Cusco’s main square. Day five began with an early ride to Challacancha, where we started the trek. After a challenging hike, we reached Humantay Lake at 4,250 meters, our first time at such high altitude. Later, we returned to Sorraypampa to camp but had to cross a chilly stream to find a spot. Despite the cold, we set up camp, ready for our first night on the Salkantay trail.
