Mike presents an English Dark Mild to continue exploring the West Yorkshire yeast from Wyeast.

This recipe has under 8 pounds of grain in it total for an original gravity of 1.036! The beer fermented at 65°F and had a diacetyl rest at 75°F. The resulting beer finished around 1.009 gravity for a whopping ~3.5% ABV. It's a true session ale.

This beer is pretty easy to drink really. The body is much lighter than Mike would like, but overall the flavor profile is fine. The beer needs a little more specialty malt balance to it. The beer also could use a little less minerality.

Otherwise, this is a decent style as the seasons transition from warm to cooler weather. Dark Mild seems to fit both categories just fine as Mother Nature bats around the last few days of summer.
