Currently working on R8B3 SEC solo. Existing videos use ladder foam, so I'm uncertain whether it can be done. The main issue is ammo, there's only 2 uses of ammo in each zone, and the charger error + alarms eat through ammo. By the time you finish second alarm, you absolutely won't have enough ammo to kill the tank while continuing to defend from charger waves. So my strat is to thoroughly search every zone, try to get 9 GLPs, and then when the tank spawns, just bumrush into the final zone and focus on finding the final GLP to stop the error wave. Then I can kite the tank until I'm able to secure enough ammo to kill it. I'm trying it with sawed off and hel rifle, but so far I've kept dying to the alarms, usually the first one. The weapon combination isn't the best for those tight rooms, but I've also been very tired lately and miss a ton of shots. Today I figured I'd get some practice with the weapon combination, and change the R1D1 duo into a solo.

ye, R1D1 is a pretty dull mission. There's a lot more giants spawning in the waves than there are in typical alarms, apparently the third alarm has dummy thicc shooter spawns, and the final shadow error alarm is very weak (at least after doing R5D1).

I kinda miss having very easy solos/duos to do, because there's a lot more freedom there to mess around with different weapons. There's only a few main weapons I think are really good when playing optimally (DMR for shooter killing/long range waveclear/long range charger clear, sawed off for giant/boss/charger killing as well as easy close quarters defense, PDW for shadows and great hipfire with high uptime, hel shotgun for very powerful waveclear with a delayed uptime dropoff. Hel revolver also good, kinda does a bit of everything, but with the ALT R6 reload speed nerf I find it a lot harder to justify bringing it over other weapons, as it has more meaningful downtime now. I think hel autopistol also has a niche on nightmare strikers, but those are only encountered meaningfully in 1-2 missions).
