Ingredients

Soya chunks – 1 cup (boiled & ground coarsely)

Basmati rice – 1 cup (soaked 20 min)

Ghee – 2 tsp

Whole biryani masalas – bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom

Onion – 1 (chopped)

Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp

Vegetables – carrot, potato, tomato (chopped)

Salt – as required

Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

Red chilli powder – ½ tsp

Garam masala – ½ tsp

Water – 2 cups

Kheera salad – for serving

Preparation

1. Boil soya chunks in hot water, squeeze and grind to coarse granules.


2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add whole biryani masalas and sauté.


3. Add chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, and cook until golden.


4. Add vegetables and tomato, sauté for 2–3 minutes.


5. Add soaked basmati rice, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, and garam masala.


6. Pour 2 cups water, mix well, and pressure cook for 1 whistle.


7. Fluff gently and serve hot with simple kheera salad.
