Sustainable Diapering with Earthbaby: Compostable Diapering Service

Описание к видео Sustainable Diapering with Earthbaby: Compostable Diapering Service

Did you know that the average newborn baby will go through 60-80 diapers in one week? In total your child will be in diapers from minimum 0-3 years of age and send 5,500 diapers to landfills that will not break down for 500 plus years? Most people do not even come in contact with this information until they are about to have their own baby. In our Sustainable Diapering Class we will give you the tools you will need to make the best informed decision regarding diapering your baby.

Join panelists Sara Comden and Katie Comfort of EarthBaby, the SF Bay Area's compostable diapering service, as they discuss the different diapering options you can choose:

(EC) Elimination communication
cloth diapers
disposable plastic diapers
compostable diapers

You will become aware of the pros and cons to each of these approaches, the history of diapering, and the impact each method has on the environment.
