Amy Winehouse $204,800 Heart Purse, $4 Million Dollar Auction of a Music Auction

You better be seated when you start watching this video, Doris gets a sneak peak at the Amy Winehouse’s Lifetime and Career auction, in honor of the 10th anniversary of Amy’s passing her family has brought Amy’s pieces to Julien’s for auction. The auction house has created a beautiful catalog of Amy’s possessions that will live on through her fans and collectors, the collection of Amy’s fashions on display is astounding, her style is so iconic that even seeing them on the mannequin you sense Amy’s personality, demeanor, character, and even humor. Naomi Parry’s designs, which she did for Amy for her last tour in 2011 are on display, and you can feel the energy of Amy and how they would inspire her performance by their print and silhouette. Parry used a Dixiefied Pinup Couture dress Amy wore on tour in Brazil, along with a Barbie Collector’s Catalog Amy gave her to help inspire her in creating her wardrobe. Even Amy’s personal pieces show how humble and real she was, which is animated by the lyrics in her songs. One dress on display is a Jeremy Scott Beverly Hills cotton fitted t-shirt dress with a dance step pattern, and upon looking at it closely you see a hand-stitched repair on the front center seam at the hem, and a tac down stitch on the bust of the dress showing Amy’s life that illustrated these pieces.
