Title: Beginning the Journey (Psalm 23)
Text: Psalm 23 (See also John 10:14-18, 14:1-2)
Key Idea: Psalm 23 is about what to know as we begin the journey and each step afterward.

Point 1) What to Pack (vv.1-2)
-Remember: Jesus’ decision to be Shepherd laid down His life will do and say more for our lives than all our decisions, all preparations

Point 2) GPS Navigation (vv.3-4)
-Remember: No matter where you are (even if seems dangerous/not what you planned) consider God Placed Steps (GPS – Proverbs 16:9)
--With Jesus, we are not as lost in the wilderness as it seems

Point 3) The Destination/Communion (vv.5-6)
-Remember: Jesus left heaven, died, and rose for God’s glory and our good. God’s glory and our good is that we have perfect communion (oneness/fellowship). God’s goal of oneness with us is bigger and intersects with each step on this journey.
