[FR] Ce funiculaire industriel, aujourd'hui exploité comme un ascenseur incliné se trouve dans le bâtiment de l’ancienne fabrique de nitrocellulose d'Ittigen près de Berne. La construction particulière de cette fabrique à été imposée par le produit fabriqué ici, la nitrocellulose est un puissant explosif ! La segmentation des étapes de fabrication dans différents locaux étagés limite les dégâts en cas d'explosion. Tout les transports de l'explosif entre les étages étaient réalisé à l'aide du funiculaire. Si la fabrication d'explosif à cessé en 1938, le site est resté un entrepôt de stockage jusqu'en 1973. Entre 1973 et 1990 les locaux ont été utilisés comme halles industrielles. Dès le début des années 90 le site devient un haut lieux culturel abritant entre autre la première scène techno du pays. Rénové entre 2013 et 2017 le bâtiment à retrouvé sa vocation industrielle à l'exception du dernier étage qui est resté un lieu événementiel. Le funiculaire actuel est d'accès publique au utilisateurs du site. Le site est inscrit à l'inventaire des hauts lieux architecturaux du canton de Berne.
[EN] This industrial funicular, today operated as an inclined elevator, is located in the building of the former Ittigen nitrocellulose factory near Bern. The particular construction of this factory was imposed by the product manufactured here, nitrocellulose is a powerful explosive and the segmentation of the manufacturing stages in different tiered premises limits damage in the event of an explosion. [DE] Diese Industrieseilbahn, heute als Schrägaufzug betrieben, befindet sich im Gebäude der ehemaligen Nitrozellulosefabrik Ittigen bei Bern. Die besondere Konstruktion dieser Fabrik wurde durch das hier hergestellte Produkt bestimmt, Nitrozellulose ist ein starker Sprengstoff und die Aufteilung der Produktionsstufen in verschiedene Etagen begrenzt den Schaden im Falle einer Explosion. Der gesamte Sprengstofftransport zwischen den Stockwerken erfolgte mit der Standseilbahn. Obwohl die Herstellung von Sprengstoffen 1938 eingestellt wurde, blieb das Gelände bis 1973 ein Lagerhaus. Zwischen 1973 und 1990 wurden die Räumlichkeiten als Industriehallen genutzt. Ab Anfang der 90er Jahre entwickelte sich der Ort zu einem kulturellen Hotspot, in dem sich unter anderem die erste Techno-Szene des Landes befand. Das zwischen 2013 und 2017 renovierte Gebäude erhielt seine industrielle Ausrichtung zurück, mit Ausnahme der obersten Etage, die weiterhin als Veranstaltungsort diente. Die aktuelle Standseilbahn ist für Benutzer der Website öffentlich zugänglich. Der Standort ist im Inventar der architektonischen Highlights des Kantons Bern enthalten.
