I Will Praise | Praise Set | 6.2.24

little side notes before the devo: WOW WAS THE KEY FOR THE FIRST SONG SO HIGH LOL But I was already in too deep in my praise I couldn't stop... and I was so joyous singing about the freedom He's given me to sing but looking back on it AHAHAHA ya gurl was STRUGGLING Additionally, I know it says May 1st and its literally June but just imagine it says June AHAHAH ANYWAYS...

I have often heard people say, don't sing things to God that you don't truly mean/ believe. And though I understand that we don't want to bring anything ingenuine to our holy, deserving God, I believe that sometimes we praise things to declare the truth over areas of unbelief. Because praise is a weapon. For example, that even in seasons where it's hard to believe that God is good, we'd sing and declare that truth that He is good over our hearts, lives, souls, minds, seasons, etc. because its the Truth. That we'd speak the truth of God, the very living WORD of God, over the lies and ploys of the enemy. Our God is an everlasting God, never changing, no matter what season or circumstance, or even mental space we're in, Who He is, and what He says He can/ will do, never changes. Even in Mark 11:24 it says "Therefore I tell you, everything that you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." My desire is that we would praise with faith, believe with faith, declare with faith, and stand on the side of triumph.

So this set was bred from that place. In this season where it felt like the enemy was trying to silence me, in this place where I feel weak and broken, my God is still worthy of all praise and adoration. and He WILL deliver me.

Honestly EVERYTHING in Psalm 56 & 57 spoke to me regarding this topic, but here are a couple highlights...

Psalm 56:3-4 "When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?"
(it repeats this again in Psalm 56:10-11)

Psalm 56:12-13 "I must perform my vows to you, O God; I will render thank offerings to you. For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life."

Psalm 57:7-11 "My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast!
I will sing and make melody! Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is great to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth!"

Thank you God that you are faithful and strong! Thank you for saving me and always coming through! God you're so worthy of all my praise and let my life be a sweet praise to you all the days of my life.

I pray that in whatever you are going through, this season will be a season of victory and triumph for you. Just like Jericho, let us praise until every wall is broken down, in Jesus name ◡̈ Let a mighty sound of all the children of God arise to declare your power, love and victory, LORD! WE LOVE YOU!
