In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 11 we derived the equation for work done in bringing a mass from the surface of earth to infinite distance away from earth. From this concept we are going to discuss about escape velocity of a planet and gravitational potential energy of a mass near any planet.
Work done, W = GmM/r, here, G is universal gravitational constant, m is the mass of the object, M is the mass of earth and r is the distance of the object from earth's surface (object should be on or outside earth).
