Temple style saaru | ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಶೈಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರು | Saaru recipe | temple style rasam | Tomato saaru

This is a temple style Rasam by using tomatoes and toor dal. Spices required are red chillies, dhania, jeera methi and hing. We add ginger, green chillies and coriander leaves for a nice flavor. It tastes good with white rice and boiled rice too.


Ingredients:-

Tomato
Green chilli
Ginger
Coriender leaves
Salt to taste
Tamarind
Jaggery
Turmeric power

For masala:-

Coconut oil 3-4 sp
Dry red chilli 5
Coriender seeds 2sp
Methi 1/2 sp
Hing
Jeera 2sp

For tempering:-

Coconut oil
Musturd seeds
Dry red chilli
Curry leaves
