We all should be populist in some extend and I want to share with you why.
We see it in our newspapers, on TV, in our Facebook and especially twitter feeds: Populists make unrealistic, sometimes even radical statements.
They spread fake news and might even lie.
If populism is that far spread, populist must do something right. They get their messages across and are great communicators.

In order to fight populism we must learn from populist. We must become a little populist ourself - we must become positive populist. Benedikt Kau is 22 years old, studying Liberal Arts and Sciences in Freiburg and Maastricht with a focus on neuroscience. With two friends, he founded the initiative WhyEurope e.V. with the aim to communicate Europe differently. By what they call Positive Populism they are spreading simple, concrete and emotional messages over social media networks. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
