Seepiya- NIFT Delhi Cluster Documentary (Seep Ka Kaam)

The Craft Cluster Initiative of National Institute of Fashion Technology, aims at the recognition and acknowledgment of Crafts and Textile Clusters in India. As a part of this initiative, our group was sent to Jodhpur to study the craft of "Seep ka Kaam" popularly known as Mother of Pearl inlay and overlay. This documentary is an attempt to highlight their endeavour involving fieldwork studies that took us deep into the vibrant streets of Jodhpur, where artisans’ skilled hands have etched stories through the lustrous luminescence of Mother of Pearl.
