IRAN - The Wonderland!

If you see Fort Babak, you can’t help but think what effort and sacrifices must have been made to build this citadel 1300-1400 years ago! No wonder the arab invaders could not defeat Commander Babak running his battles against the Caliphate from this citadel.

Go for the history, but you'll surely enjoy the stunning scenery! On May 22, 2018 when I left Tabriz for Fort Babak it was a partly cloudy day, but half way through the trail at the higher altitudes it was nothing but fog. I could only get a glimpse of the fort, as in ghost, at the peak ahead for a minute or two and take a couple of shots. Yes, somewhat disappointing ,but then again, the fog added some mystery to this story which I couldn’t give that visual impression any better . . .
