WHAT MAKES AN ADVANCE PRACTICE?

NO IT ISN'T ARM BALANCES SPLIT AND HANDSTANDS! 😱😱😱 (shocking right)
It's the following:

1️⃣ BODY AWARENESS AND RANGE OF MOTION

Yes to be considered as a "advanced" practitioner we need a certain level of body awareness and range of motion - This doesn't mean flexible!! This similar means we possess the ability to move our body a little more freely and with interception - an "inner sight" and awareness to our movements upon the mat

2️⃣ INTEGRITY OF THE PRACTICE

The Second part of an advance comes when we don't have the desired range or stamina for the class that's expected of us. An advance practitioner KNOWS their body, including their limitations and possess the ability to adapt their practice without loosing the integrity of it. I witness this in my level 2 class on a Wednesday morning, The class has many different physical capabilities yet I trust everyone in that room to make the choices that serve them and their practice best - this is where empowerment within the practice starts.

WANT TO ATTAIN AN ADVANCE PRACTICE?
WHILST PRACTICING THIS VIDEO ASK YOURSELF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:

Am I reluctant to modify or adapt the postures to my needs? If so why?
How am I talking to myself when I'm unable to reach the "maximum" level?
Am I pushing past what feels good and right for my body?
Do I believe that "more" means better?
Do I feel tension or loose my breathe because I'm pushing past my limits?
