Is there a way to predict if a company will go up? Maybe. Any company that is or have potential of profiting have better chances of getting there. But its not garanteed, disasters are all over the place, sometimes the company may break down before their investment pays of, or they can literaly make bad investments. If a company have no profitable buildings, they are doomed, so we can skip those.
Even if they get the best technologies, the AI usualy doesn't take the minerals to go for them, that's probably a bug?
Btw the company which gets the apartments first usually dominates.
