Welcome to our YouTube channel! In the video, we'll take you on a yummy journey as we make Simple Kokan Special Malvani CRAB Curry [ Khekdya cha Rassa ] . We hope you enjoy watching and maybe even try making these treats yourself.

Ingredients for CRAB CURRY Recipe :

6-7 medium-sized Crabs (cleaned and prepared)
2 tablespoons Malvani Masala (or any regional spice blend of your choice)
1/2 teaspoons Turmeric Powder
1 tablespoon Garam Masala
5-6 Kokum (dried Kokum fruit, or substitute with tamarind paste or lemon juice)
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking
1small Onion for tempering

For the Masala Paste [ Watan ] :

1/2 fresh coconut, grated or chopped
3 medium onions, roughly chopped
1/2 inch piece of ginger, peeled
7-8 garlic cloves, peeled

Prepare the Masala:
Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a pan. Add Onion slice and sauté well. Then add Wet coconut , Ginger and garlic and sauté until they become golden brown . Remove this masala mixture from the heat and let it cool.

Grind the Masala:
Once the masala mixture has cooled, grind it into a fine paste. Add a little water if needed.

Prepare the CRAB Curry:

Heat oil in a large pan or pot over medium heat. Add the chopped Onion and sauté for a few minutes until it turns aromatic and starts to brown slightly. Add the Malvani Masala, turmeric powder, and garam masala. Stir well and cook for another minute to release the flavors of the spices. Add the cleaned crabs to the pan, stirring well to coat them with the spice mixture. Pour enough water to just cover the crabs. Adjust the amount of water based on how thick you want your curry to be.
Add the Masala Paste [ Watan ] and Kokum petal, salt to taste, and mix everything well.
Cover the pan and let the curry simmer over medium-low heat for about 10-15 minutes or until the crabs are cooked through and tender. Stir occasionally.
Once the crabs are cooked, check for seasoning and adjust salt if needed.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves if desired.

Serve hot with steamed rice or Bhakri . Enjoy your flavorful Crab Curry!
