MRE Review: Menu No.6 Beef Taco from Meal Kit Supply (2015)

Here's a look at another of Meal Kit Supply's 2015 lineup of MREs. This one is Menu No.6, Beef Taco. I was looking forward to this one, as I don't believe I've ever had a Beef Taco MRE before (genuine or commercial). I wouldn't say that I was disappointed, but maybe I had hyped it up a bit too much in my mind and expected too much from it. The Beef Taco Filling entree was fine, but nothing incredible (not that one would expect something in an MRE to be "incredible" or anything). It reminded me a lot of the taste of a canned chili, like Hormel's. It has a little bit of spiciness, but you can kick up quite a bit with the included pack of hot sauce (a great touch by Meal Kit Supply that I haven't seen in other commercial MREs). The Black Beans in Seasoned Sauce were an appropriate side dish in this one (unlike the odd pairing of it with the Beef Ravioli in a recent review). Overall it was another very good offering from Meal Kit Supply!
