Snapdragon Digital Chassis Car-to-Cloud Services Demo at CES 2022

In this demo from CES 2022, Senior Director of Product Management at Qualcomm Nimish Shrivastava guides us through the development possibilities presented by the Car-to-Cloud Services that are included in the Snapdragon Digital Chassis.

The Snapdragon Digital Chassis incorporates many components throughout a vehicle. The Car-to-Cloud services bring all of these components together with a cloud connected solution that provides an immersive experience for customers using cloud and vehicular device technologies.

Snapdragon Digital Chassis Car-to-Cloud Services solution comprises four elements: Connect, Develop, Manage, and Engage. For Connect, or connectivity, Snapdragon modules provide out-the-box bundled global connectivity for developers and auto OEMs. This gives them a single point of control via eSIM management, as well as real-time data consumption and monitoring provided by Qualcomm’s partner Cubic Telecom.

For the Develop aspect, the Car-to-Cloud platform is built on wide suite APIs. Qualcomm is sharing all of these APIs, so that developers and auto OEMs can construct the ideal apps and services they want to provide their customers with, in the same way that Qualcomm built in this demo at CES 2022.

In the Manage aspect, Qualcomm’s unique technology enables dynamic feature management to create Soft SKUs where every vehicle is equipped with the same hardware and software capabilities. That helps auto OEMs to dynamically configure each vehicle to cater to different user experiences and offer different vehicle price points.

As for the Snapdragon Digital Chassis Car-to-Cloud Engage aspect, all of the above capabilities will drive multiple different use cases for businesses services and contextual experiences with data insights for integrated service enablement.

All of this combines for a robust Snapdragon Digital Chassis Car-to-Cloud solution that will allow developers and auto OEMs to create dynamic and enriching experiences for their customers, all through the cloud.
